Shopping in Cologne

Cologne has a lot to offer for shopping enthusiasts. Easily you are lost in the wide range of the shopping offers. Below I've created a small tour (red dotted line) through the center of Cologne, where you will find the most shops in the city. The tour starts at the cathedral (red dot) and then follows through Hohe Strasse and Schildergasse (most visited German shopping street in 2011 and 2010) and other roads on a circular route through the most popular shopping streets. There you will find store by store, large shopping centers, fine boutiques, restaurants or deli. The total distance is about 3 km and you can abbreviate the tour especially on two points marked in the plan (black dotted line - Pfeilstrasse / Benesisstrasse).

Sometimes it is also interesting to go into the side streets. For the distance you need a time of about .... well, that depends on how many stores you want to visit and how many bags you can still wear :-)
