March 6, 1945 at morning. US troops are reaching street Gladbacher Straße.

Once again the Pershing tank at intersection Spichernstraße.

 

Intersection Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring. Coming from street Hansaring a private car is driving to Christophstraße. It is hit by the US troops, the driver dies immediately, the co-driver, a young woman dies later.

Once again Christophstraße. Infantrymen and armor of the First U.S. Army proceed through the streets. On the left side the German car shown in the picture before already. The soldier is watching the private car on the right side of the street, it's the car the US troops had hit before. The driver died and the co-driver, the young woman lies next to the car, waiting for help / transport.

The Pershing is waiting on street Unter Sachsenhausen. The house from where the photo was taken still exists. The pillar next to the staircase to the front door can be seen in both photos.

 



The Pershing tank is located on intersection Marzellenstraße / An den Dominikanern and fires. The German Panther tank at the cathedral is hit three times.

The Pershing crew in front of the destroyed building of Deutsche Bank in street An den Dominikanern. Today there's a building of the Deutsche Bank too which was buildt after the war.
